FRANCO'S
A taste of Italy made in a Yorkshire garage

Personal Project
Winner of "The Importance of Local" - Studio Minerva's Student Competition
"Franco's" was my final project at University, and it also served as my winning entry for "The Importance of Local" competition. The focus of this project was to create a local alcohol brand in the UK.
This project is very special to me personal as it is inspired by my Nonno (my Italian grandad) who made his own wine in his garage in Yorkshire.
My Nonno, Franco, was born in a rural village in Southern Italy called, Savignano. He and my Nonna left their homeland in their early 20s in search of a new life in the UK. Despite being far from home, Franco held onto his Italian traditions by continuing to make his own red wine in his garage in Keighley, Yorkshire. Every year, he produced numerous bottles of delicious red wine, which were eagerly shared among our family and friends.
